Charity ball theming

Story group

353 is a charitable trust supporting the military community and their families, founded in memory of Private Conrad Lewis. For their final fundraising ball, the charity asked us to create a theme that honoured their work and legacy. My concept was chosen: a powerful portrait of Conrad made entirely from the fingerprints of his family members. This visual metaphor symbolised both the personal loss at the heart of the charity and the enduring impact they would leave behind. The fingerprint portrait became the central motif of the event’s look and feel, tying together print, digital, and environmental design. This project highlighted the role of design in storytelling and its ability to capture deep emotion in a visual language.

Using the fingerprints of the remaining family members, I created a portrait of Private Conrad Lewis, showing that even though this would be the last ball for the charity, they would still leave their mark, and that became the focus for the theme of the ball.

And this video was played during the ball.

This depicted the journey of the charity up to tat point, as well as showing the process the the creation for the theme of the final ball.
